Help provide relief to communities impacted by Texas flooding
Catastrophic flash floods hit the Texas Hill Country on July 4. While this region is prone to floods, intense storms like the one that caused the flash flooding are unusual. At least 10 inches of rain fell and caused the waters of the Guadalupe River to rise 26 feet in just 45 minutes. This tragic event occurred in the early morning hours, when many people were still sleeping.
As of July 7, more than 80 people are confirmed to have lost their lives and rescue teams are still working to determine the number of people considered missing.
