Open a donor-advised fund (DAF) account
Open your account with DAFgiving360™ in as little as 15 minutes
Here’s what you will need:
- U.S. permanent resident address
- Social Security number
- Date of birth
- Contact information and signature for each person listed on the account
- Funding information, depending on the method you choose to contribute to your account
- Confirmation that you have reviewed and agreed to the terms and conditions of our Program Policies
- If you are an investment advisor and would like to open an account on behalf of your clients, please see next steps and advisor forms

If you will be funding your account with assets currently custodied with Charles Schwab, you may do so through schwab.com.
- If you will be funding your account with assets from an institution other than Charles Schwab and Co., Inc, please complete the Transfer of Assets form in addition to the new account application

Donor-advised fund account holders at DAFgiving360 may nominate an independent investment advisor to manage their account. Please contact your advisor if you want to get started with this option.
How a DAF account works
1. Contribute: Open a core account with no minimum initial contribution. Contribute cash, securities, or other appreciated non-cash assets and be eligible for a current year tax deduction.
2. Invest: Recommend how contributed assets are invested for potential growth that's tax-free. Choose from a wide range of investment pools for a core account or recommend an investment advisor for a professionally managed account.
3. Grant: Recommend grants of $50 or more to the charities of your choice
immediately or over time. To recommend a grant online, log into your account or use the Schwab Mobile app.
