DAFgiving360 Appoints New President
Julie Sunwoo will lead the organization in helping donors and advisors maximize their charitable impact.
April 24, 2025, SAN FRANCISCO – DAFgiving360™, one of the largest national providers of donor-advised fund (DAF) accounts and related philanthropic resources, is pleased to announce that Julie Sunwoo has been appointed President of the organization.

She is extremely well positioned to lead our organization in providing a giving solution that enables donors to make a greater impact in their communities.”
Julie joins DAFgiving360 from Charles Schwab & Co., where she has held a variety of leadership positions supporting enterprise-wide corporate functions and serving Schwab's individual investors and registered investment advisors. Her previous leadership roles included experience in strategy, operations, sales, service, product development, risk management, and technology.
As President, Julie will set and lead the organizational strategy in support of DAFgiving360’s mission to increase charitable giving in the U.S. Her responsibilities will include enhancement of the DAF account offer, oversight of investment and risk management programs, and creation of leading philanthropic tools and education for donors and financial advisors to make the best choices for their charitable goals.

How an account works
A DAF account with DAFgiving360 is a simple, efficient, and tax-smart solution for charitable giving. Donors can contribute cash, securities, or other appreciated non-cash assets and recommend how contributed assets are invested for potential growth that’s tax-free. They can then recommend grants to charities quickly and easily at any time to support both immediate and long-term charitable goals. Donors also have succession plan options for their accounts to help them continue their giving legacy beyond their lifetimes. Since DAFgiving360 was established in 1999, the organization has helped individuals and families give more than $40 billion to more than 270,000 charities.
DAFgiving360™ is the name used for the combined programs and services of Donor Advised Charitable Giving, Inc., an independent nonprofit organization which has entered into service agreements with certain subsidiaries of The Charles Schwab Corporation. DAFgiving360 is a tax-exempt public charity as described in Sections 501(c)(3), 509(a)(1), and 170(b)(1)(A)(vi) of the Internal Revenue Code.
Contributions made to DAFgiving360 are considered an irrevocable gift and are not refundable. Once contributed, DAFgiving360 has exclusive legal control over the contributed assets.
Market fluctuations may cause the value of investment fund shares held in a donor-advised fund (DAF) account to be worth more or less than the value of the original contribution to the funds.
